HISTORY
Botevgrad District Court is a court in Botevgrad that serves the population of the municipalities of Botevgrad and Pravets.
There is a court in Botevgrad since the Ottoman Empire. Immediately after the Liberation, a Bulgarian court was established in Orhanie, which is a district center in Sofia District. From 1900 to 1935 the court was called the Orhani Peace Court. Until 1953 it was the Court of Justice. From 1953 to May 18, 1971 it was the Botevgrad People's Court and then the Botevgrad District Court.
Until 1971, the Botevgrad District Court served the settlements: the town of Botevgrad and the villages of Pravets, Trudovets, Razliv, Kalugerovo, Svode and Osikovska Lakavitsa, Skravena, Novachene, Bozhenitsa, Lipnitsa, Litakovo, Radotina, Rashkovo, Kraevo, Gurkovo and Vrachesh.
Since May 18, 1971 the court has served the settlements: Botevgrad, Pravets and Trudovets, Spill, Kalugerovo, Svode, Osikovska Lakavitsa, Skravena, Novochenie, Bozhenitsa, Lipnitsa, Litakovo, Radotina, Rashkovo, Kraevo, Gurkovo, Vrachets, Pravets , Plain, Otter, Manassel River and Elovdol.
As of November 16, 2009, the district court has moved into a new building. The old building was reconstructed and houses the Museum of History.
The activity of the court covers the examination of criminal and civil cases.
It is an authoritative body in its territory and creates confidence and security for the population in the area of the court.
